David joined Bowen in 2008 after working 14 years at the Museum of the Rockies, Taylor Planetarium, in Bozeman, MT. He has vast Planetarium experience, starting as the planetarium technician and working his way up to the position of Interim Planetarium Director and Planetarium Manager.
David served four years active duty in the USMC and six months active reserves, in the Marine 4th Recon Battalion, Billings, MT. After college he worked three years as a Design Engineer at Video Lottery Consultants, an international manufacturer of video gaming systems, headquartered in Bozeman.
He holds a BS in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology, Montana State University.
He is married with two adult age children and has been an active volunteer with the Boy Scouts and his local astronomy club.
At Bowen Technovation, David works with all aspects of exhibit and planetarium development, staring with conceptual designs for new projects, to creating drawings for architectural specifications and construction documents. He programs the automation systems, manages projects, and provides the on site hardware installation, alongside other members of the Bowen team.
